Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV 2024: Redesign and Photos. The next generation of this compact crossover is on the way and the most recent reports suggest it should still hit the market before the end of 2024. The new model will certainly bring a great deal of novelties, but the thing that interests us most is the excellent plug-in hybrid system. As you may know, the new model will share a lot of the parts with the next-generation Nissan Rogue, but we believe that this system will remain in the offer, despite the new platform. The Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV 2024 2024 will continue to be one of the strongest selling points of this crossover.
Obviously, this redesign will bring all sort of other novelties, starting from a new exterior design, significantly updated interior and all type of new tech features. Another thing we should mention is that the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV 2024 model will also get a couple of inches in wheelbase, so this particular version should also include three rows of seats, just like the standard gasoline model does.
Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV 2024 Redesign
The upcoming redesign will bring a great deal of novelties and one of the first things that come to mind is the platform. AS you know, Mitsubishi is now a part of the Renault Nissan Alliance, so it seems logical to see Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV 2024 with a completely new layout. Naturally, it will be based on one of the key corporal architectures, called the CMF platform. In practice, this means a lot of things in common with Nissan Rogue, which is also about to come completely redesigned for the next year. This platform will certainly bring improvements in terms of the ride quality, while the new model is expected to feature the same wheelbase as Rogue. The exact measurements are still unavailable, but we presume it would walk around 107 inches.
Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV 2024 Powertrain
A new platform usually means new engines, but we have no doubt that the Japanese manufacturer will eep its excellent PHEV system. This system is based on a four-cylinder engine and a couple of electric motors. In the current model, it delivers 197 horsepower, which seems like a quite decent amount for the class. Still, the upcoming redesign will probably include some rework on this powertrain as well, so we may see a little bit more power too.
Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV 2024 Rendering
This system has been updated last year when we saw a bigger battery pack. The outgoing model can make around 40 miles on a single charge. Mentioning charging, you may count on three options. The current model needs between 8 and 13 hours to charge on standard 110V socket. A 240V socket significantly cuts this time, to just 3.5 hours. Finally, the fast charging options allow you to charge 80% of the battery in just 25 minutes. These are all pretty strong numbers, but we may expect even better things in the redesigned models. This describes both the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV 2024 range and charging time.

Exterior Design
The test mule has already been spotted on the road and although it still wears a complete camouflage, we can easily see the design approach for the new 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander. As you may presume, the Engelber concept will serve as inspiration, so the new model will come with a pretty bold, SUV-ish shape, which isn’t so typical for this class of crossovers. Of course, one of the highlights will be the new front end, which should come with a bold grille and bumper, sharp and angular lines and separated lighting groups.
Interior
This is just one of the weakest points of the current model, which looks really outdated in this aspect. The dashboard looks dated, while the quality of materials is lower compared to most competitors. The current model lacks many modern tech features. We expect this will change with the new model but there is another interesting thing about the new cabin we expect to see. As we already mentioned, the new model is about to get a couple of inches in wheelbase. In practice, this means more space on the inside, which leads us to the conclusion that the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV 2024 should be offered with three rows as well. Far, only gasoline models were available in such configuration. By the way, the Outlander is the only compact crossover that features three rows of seats, along with VW Tiguan, which is available in a stretched-wheelbase version.
Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV 2024 Release Date and Price
Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, we will probably see some delays and changes in the planned schedule. Still, most reports suggest that the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV 2024 release date will definitely be scheduled for this year, sometime in the last quarter. When it concerns the price, the current model walks around 36.500 dollars and we don’t expect bigger changes in this aspect.
