Infiniti QX80 Updates 2024: Redesign and Price. If we look at the 2018 update, it’s obvious that Infiniti has decided to keep the current generation for several more years, despite we are talking about one of the oldest models in the segment. Constant updates made this full-size SUV competitive, even eleven years after the launch. Therefore, we count on a similar approach for the Infiniti QX80 2024 as well. Several updates are expected for the next year.
The current model looks great from the outside, but things aren’t that amazing from the inside. There, you will find an outdated dashboard, which isn’t particularly different from the mainstream Armada. That’s why many sources suggest a new interior for the next year. Furthermore, it’s quite possible to see the same kinds of updates we’ve seen in the new Titan, which means more power and a new transmission. At this point, the officials are quiet on this matter, so take the following paragraphs with a reserve.
Infiniti QX80 2024 Engine
The current model features a well-known 5.6-liter V8, which offers pretty respectable performances, thanks to the max output of 400 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque. With such an amount of power, it needs less than 6 seconds to hit 60 mph. However, the Infiniti QX80 2024 could be even faster, considering that some sources suggest this SUV could receive the same powertrain update as the last year’s Titan, which came with a slight power boost.
This update has brought a new 9-speed automatic transmission, which provides a smoother ride and should have a slight impact on fuel economy. In practice, we don’t expect that mpg ratings will change compared to the current version, which returns around 14 mpg in the city and 20 mpg on the highway.
Infiniti QX80 2024 May Get New Cabin
As we’ve just mentioned, the current generation is expected to remain in production for several more years and that indicates necessary updates. At this point, the first thing that comes to mind is the interior. If you look at the current cabin, it doesn’t look that bad but it doesn’t look impressive either. You get pretty much the same interior design in the much cheaper Armada. That’s why we count on significant upgrades in this aspect. We would expect to see a completely new dashboard, with finer materials and a completely new design, considering that the current one definitely looks dated. Of course, we would also like to see novelties in terms of tech features and the first thing that comes to mind is the infotainment system. That could easily be the same system that we can find in the updated Titan, which features a respectable 9-inch touchscreen interface.

On the other side, interior dimensions would certainly remain the same. This SUV features around 121 inches in wheelbase, which is quite typical for the segment. However, the amount of passenger space isn’t as you would expect from a vehicle of this size. While the first two rows are very generous in this aspect, the third row offers less than 29 inches of legroom, which isn’t subpar for the segment and it’s rather comparable with mid-size crossovers.
The cargo area is a completely different story. You may count on about 16.6 cubic feet of cargo space behind its third-row seats, 49.6 cubic feet with these seats folded, and respectable 95.1 cubic feet with second- and third-row seats folded. Those are above-average numbers for the class.
Exterior
While the inside of the Infiniti QX80 2024 could come with some significant updates, we don’t expect that the exterior design will change notably. The base layout will certainly remain the same. This model has been around for more than a decade and rides on a good-old F-Alpha platform. Despite the age, it offers pretty good handling, which comes in a good balance with a smooth and comfortable ride.
The styling shouldn’t change either, especially if consider the 2018 update. That refresh has brought a completely new styling, which looks miles better compared to the pre-facelift version. It is based on the Monograph concept and offers modern design solutions, which make it look more attractive than most younger rivals. Of course, there is always a chance to see typical yearly updates, such as new color options, new appearance packages and similar things.
Infiniti QX80 2024 Release Date and Price
Despite the possible updates, we don’t expect that the Infiniti QX80 2024 will come before the second half of this year. The current model starts slightly under 70.000 dollars and we don’t bigger changes in this aspect either. When it comes to the competition, some of the key rivals are models like Cadillac Escalade, Lincoln Navigator, Toyota Land Cruiser etc
