Honda Passport 2024: Redesign and Rumors. The revived SUV has been around for a while and the Honda Passport 2024 will represent the fourth production year. However, it looks like we won’t see bigger updates on this occasion. The company seems busy with the new Civic and CR-V. Also, the new Pilot should come soon, so we presume this one will have to wait its turn. All in all, the best we could see are smaller updates in terms of new standard features. Anything more than that would be a surprise.
All this means that you may count on a familiar design. This crossover has a lot of great things to offer. We like how it rides, as well as its excellent V6 engine which is powerful and refined. Also, this SUV offers plenty of passenger space and an impressive cargo hold. That doesn’t mean this model is without flaws. We don’t like the infotainment system, which is quite complicated to use. Also, the starting price is a little bit high compared to rivals.
Considering that no bigger changes are about to come, we expect to see the Honda Passport 2024 sometime late in the year.
Honda Passport 2024 Engine
Under the hood, the Honda Passport 2024 will continue with a well-known 3.5-liter V6. This engine puts out around 280 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque and provides pretty good driving dynamics. The engine feels extremely refined and it’s a real joy to drive. Furthermore, there is a nine-speed automatic transmission, which does a pretty fine job as well.
When it comes to fuel economy, you may count 20 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway. Those are quite typical ratings for the segment. Of course, AWD models are slightly thirstier. In that case, fuel economy drops by 1 mpg, both in the city and on the highway.
Honda Passport 2024 Redesign
As we’ve just mentioned, no bigger changes are expected for the next year. The Honda Passport 2024 is about to carry on with the same overall design, which has a lot in common with Pilot. The two SUVs share a platform and most of the mechanics, though we have to say that this one handles a little bit better.
Visually, the Passport comes with a little bit different grille design, while the rest of the face is pretty much the same. We presume that the next year could bring a new color option or two, but anything more than that would be a surprise. The current form should remain active for another couple of years.
Interior
When it comes to interior design, it’s hard to find too many complaints about this SUV. Yes, we’ve mentioned the infotainment system, which isn’t particularly advanced and takes a learning curve. However, if you can live with that, then there is really no weak spot inside the Passport. The overall quality is pretty good, while the dashboard looks attractive. There is plenty of room for the passengers in both rows.
We also like the driving position. It allows excellent visibility in all directions but makes you feel sporty at the same time. The seats are quite comfortable. Still, the best thing about this cabin is definitely the cargo hold. You may count on up to 50.5 cubic feet behind the second row and up to 100.8 cubes of the overall cargo volume. That’s way more compared to two-row rivals and also more than you’ll get in most three-row crossovers.
Features
With yearly updates, there is always a chance to see a couple of additions in terms of standard equipment. Still, we expect that most of the things will remain the same. The current model comes standard with goodies like tri-zone climate control, remote start, an 8-inch touch screen, a seven-speaker stereo, Bluetooth, a USB port, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You may count standard Honda Sensing package, which includes safety features like forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, and a road departure mitigation system.

Some additions will probably come and they are currently on the list of options. The current list of available features includes navigation, a 10-speaker stereo, satellite radio, a Wi-Fi hot spot, two additional USB ports, wireless device charging, and a 115-volt household-style power outlet. There are additional safety goodies like front and rear parking sensors, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross traffic alert.
Honda Passport 2024 Release Date and Price
Considering that there are no bigger changes to come, we presume that the Honda Passport 2024 will hit the market sometime in the last quarter of the year. When it comes to the price, base models should go around 33.000 dollars. Key competitors are models like Ford Edge, Chevy Blazer, Hyundai Santa Fe etc
