Ford Excursion 2024: Price and Release Date. The comeback of the Ford Excursion 2024 is one of the hot topics these days. The largest SUV ever is about to make a return. It will be based again on the F-250 Super Duty truck. Now, there is a new design and engine ready for the fresh start. Ford is testing new markets, first with the compact Courier truck, and now with the heavy-duty SUV, which is even larger than the Expedition Max.
Excursion was discontinued in 2005. After a couple of years the company planned to return this model, but the economy crisis was on the way. Now, with the expansion of the SUV lineup, there are more and more sub-classes. Ford is ready to make another step to the new market with the return of the familiar nameplate.
Ford Excursion 2024 Specs
The new 7.3 engine is on the way. Ford is developing this unit for a while, and it could debut on the new Super Duty class. So, the link is easy to make– the Ford Excursion 2024 would get the same drivetrain. However, it doesn’t have to do anything with the previous 7.3-liter unit.
The new Godzilla is capable to produce 430 hp and 475 lb-ft of torque. Also, there is another configuration available with less power (350 hp, 470 lb-ft), but this one is definitely not the one for F-250-based SUV.
Other solutions are existing drivetrains available for Super Duty pickups, or Expedition SUV. But, our hopes are based mostly on the upcoming Godzilla engine.
Ford Excursion 2024 Redesign
The Ford Excursion 2024 will be the largest model in the class. The previous model was 226 inches long, which is more than the Expedition MAX version (222 in). The closest thing to this length is Chevy Suburban with 224 inches. These are extended versions of standard models.
The new Excursion will be similar to Expedition, but larger. Of course, there will be a lot of unique details and upgrades. Of course, the Super Duty segment is also going to borrow some design tweaks to its new sibling. All in all, the Ford Excursion 2024 will be worth of waiting, even if it is about to replace the Expedition Max.
Release Date, Competition
The new SUV won’t have too many rivals. We already mentioned the Chevy Suburban, but these two are just not the same class. On the other hand, the new Jeep Grand Wagoneer could surprise everyone. We know this model is also coming back. The company also announced it will be their largest SUV. But, we still don’t have clues about its size.

Also, there are a few other theories, but without a real foundation. All in all, the Ford Excursion 2024 is worth of waiting, since we haven’t seen anything similar ever since its predecessor was discontinued. With the growth of SUV class, there is room for the new addition. Also, there are a lot of fans who would like to test the model of its size.
