Audi Q9 2024: Release Date and Price. It looks like the company from Ingolstadt is finally preparing an answer to its German rivals in the segment of full-size SUV. For a long time, Mercedes-Benz GLS was the only German car in this segment but a few years ago, BMW X7 appeared as well. So, it’s obvious that now it’s Audi’s turn, the company that currently competes in the mid-size segment only, with Q7 and Q8 models. The new model would come as the Audi Q9 2024, probably in the next year.
The test mule we believe it’s the new Q9 has been spotted on the road. It wears a camouflage, so we can’t say too much about the look. On the other side, we have no doubt it will have a lot of things in common with smaller siblings. Of course, its main strength would be spacious and luxurious interior, while performances would be on a high level.
Audi Q9 2024 Engines
Under the hood, the Audi Q9 2024 will come with familiar engine options. Base models will certainly come with a familiar 3.0-liter V6, which is good for about 335 horsepower. Of course, we count on V8 options as well, which will be reserved for SQ9 and RS models. Some form of electrification will definitely happen. Hybrids are a certain thing, while we believe an all-electric version could happen.
In other parts of the world, particularly in Europe, we also count on diesel options in the offer.
Audi Q9 2024 Design
When it comes to base design characteristics, this will be an all-new model, the biggest one in the VW Group. That doesn’t mean it will be built for a scratch. Naturally, it will borrow a lot of things from the smaller siblings, such as Audi Q7, Porsche Cayenne etc. This particularly refers to the platform, the familiar MLB architecture, which underprints most of the premium models in VW Group.
Of course, the aforementioned SUVs belong to the mid-size segment, so it’s not hard to conclude that the Audi Q9 2024 would be notably longer. Judging on the rivals’ size, we may conclude that the wheelbase will probably go around 121 inches or more. That will provide plenty of passenger space, but we will get on that later.
Exterior
When it comes to the exterior design, we’ve just mentioned that the new model will be pretty big. Also, we can only speculate about the design, considering that the test mule still wears a camouflage. At this point, we can only see that the new model looks pretty bold and massive. Compared to the wagon-line Q9, it looks way more like a genuine SUV, with squared lines and overall shape.
On the other side, it’s still early for the exact look of the front end, which is currently under camo. We can only presume that it will rely on the brand’s latest design language and borrow a lot of design solutions from the Q8. As we are talking about a future flagship model, a plethora of exclusive details is expected as well.
Interior
It’s not hard to conclude that it is way too early for interior details. Still, we may speculate about some of the most basic things, starting from the interior space. Considering the expected size, there is no doubt that the Audi Q9 2024 will be able to accommodate adults in all three rows. Besides capacity for eight, we also count on a version with second-row captain’s chairs, which would reduce capacity to seven people. The cargo area should offer some pretty respectable numbers.

When it comes to the dashboard design, we don’t know the details but we may presume the new model will come in a typical Audi manner, with a conservative overall design but with the excellent build quality. Of course, we count on all those tech goodies, including a digital instrument cluster, dual-touchscreen infotainment system and almost complete absence of physical buttons.
Audi Q9 2024 Release Date and Price
The new Audi Q9 2024 is current in the testing phase and production will probably start already in the first half of the next year. When it comes to the price, we expect the new model will be similarly priced to rivals, which in numbers means between 75.000 and 80.000 dollars for base versions.
