Suzuki Jimny 2024: USA and Interior. The Jimny has always been popular among off-road enthusiasts, not only because of its capabilities but also because of its eye-catching styling and very affordable price. This particularly refers to the current generation, which has been around for just a couple of years. Normally, we wouldn’t expect bigger changes in such a short period but the Suzuki Jimny 2024 is actually coming with a lot of them.
We are not talking about a classic mid-cycle update or something similar. If you’re familiar with Jimny’s production cycles and body-on-frame SUVs in general, you probably know that updates in these cases aren’t that frequent. Instead, the Jimny is just adapting to different parts of the world, in order to meet not just customer requirements, but also to deal with legal issues. Therefore, we will see different kinds of changes in Asia and Europe.
Suzuki Jimny 2024 In Europe
It’s no secret that many manufacturers are struggling to meet the demands of the European Union market. This particularly refers to emission standards, which are really high. That’s why we are seeing fewer diesel engines than before. The situation isn’t much better with gasoline engines either and Suzuki’s well-known 1.5-liter naturally-aspirated engine can’t meet the latest requirements. Therefore, it can be sold in the Old Continent anymore.
However, Suzuki management has found a way to stay in Europe with this model. The latest emissions requirement applies to passenger cars only. Things are significantly different with trucks, vans, pickups etc. The Japanese manufacturer did a couple of modifications. The rear seats have been removed, and there are also few more modifications in the cargo area and in the back, so the Suzuki Jimny 2024 comes as a commercial vehicle in Europe. A two-seat Jimny is now the only version you can get in Europe.
Suzuki Jimny 2024 Engine
Of course, the powertrain will remain the same. You may count on a familiar 1.5-liter naturally-aspirated gasoline engine, which features a max output of around 100 horsepower. That isn’t much but considering the Jimny’s size and weight, driving dynamics are actually pretty good. The engine comes paired with either a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic and the power is sent to all wheels in all models.
Suzuki Jimny 2024 On the Asian Market
Things are completely different in markets like India and Sout East Asia in general. There, the Jimny is extremely popular, even among families. That’s the reason why Suzuki works on a four-door version, reports say.

Of course, this model would receive several modifications and the first one that comes to mind is the wheelbase, which measures around 88 inches in the standard model. The stretched version will probably feature around 100 inches between the axles, which puts it on par with Vitara and many other subcompact SUVs and crossovers. That should be enough to provide room for four doors, comfortable rear seats and even the additional cargo volume. Of course, the boxy shape will remain the same, so the 4-door Suzuki Jimny 2024 will be a decent hauler as well.
Suzuki Jimny 2024 Design and Specs
In other parts of the world, the Suzuki Jimny 2024 will remain pretty much the same. This means you may count on a familiar design, which besides eye-catching styling also offers some pretty serious performances, especially when it comes to off-roading. Simply, the model’s small dimensions are great for dealing with hard terrains. The approach angle goes around 37 degrees, while the departure angle goes all-away up to 49 degrees. Also, the breakover angle is around 28 degrees. Add to this a part-time 4 × 4 system and a low-speed transfer case and you get one of the most capable off-roaders among small SUVs. We also like the 3-link coil-spring suspension which may seem rudimental by today’s standards but ensures excellent rigidity and reliability on hard terrains.
Suzuki Jimny 2024 Release Date and Price
We expect to see Suzuki Jimny 2024 in the upcoming weeks. We expect that European models will be cheaper, as we are talking about a commercial vehicle now. In the rest of the world, base versions should go around 24/25.000 dollars.
