Subaru Crosstrek 2024: Redesign and Turbo. Subaru’s subcompact crossover has been around for a while and it gained the reputation of one of the best models in the class. Therefore, we are pretty sure that the Subaru Crosstrek 2024 will continue in the same way, without more important changes. Moreover, the Subaru Crosstrek 2024 will represent the fifth production year of the current generation, which means that the redesign is pretty much around the corner. Subaru models typically have a 5-year production cycle, so this should be the final production year.
This means you may count on a familiar layout, which still has a lot of things to offer. We are talking about typical Subaru, which comes with standard AWD, features a spacious and functional cabin and also features pretty good fuel economy. We also like the very long list of standard and available features for the class. Since there are no bigger changes to come, we presume that the launch date will be scheduled for the last quarter of the year.
Subaru Crosstrek 2024 Engines
Under the hood, the Subaru Crosstrek 2024 will carry on with three familiar options in the offer. Base models use a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, which puts out around 152 horsepower. It may feel a little bit lethargic but on the other side, you may count on pretty good fuel economy for the class. If you need something more powerful, there is a 2.5-liter unit with 182 horsepower. The base engine returns around 28 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway, while the bigger engine returns around 27 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway. Both ratings are above-average for the class and sound particularly impressive if we consider the standard all-wheel-drive.
There is a plug-in hybrid version, with a total output of 148 horsepower. This version also offers 17 miles of the all-electric range.
Subaru Crosstrek 2024 Redesign
In terms of base design characteristics, the Subaru Crosstrek 2024 definitely won’t change. We are about to see the same overall layout, which is based on the legendary Impreza. The chassis and mechanics are pretty much the same, while the Crosstrek comes with notably different styling.
Speaking of the styling, we saw a facelift last year, which included several styling changes. Of course, most of them were about the front end, where we saw revisions on the grille, bumper etc. The rear end remained pretty much the same. We saw typical mid-cycle updates, such as new color options and wheels. The Subaru Crosstrek 2024 will continue in the same way and even minor updates sound not particularly likely.
Interior
When it comes to interior design, we certainly won’t see bigger changes. The cabin layout will remain the same, which is definitely a good thing. The cabin is spacious and well built, so there is no need for tweaks at the moment. Even though some rivals look nicer and feature finer materials, the overall appearance is more than decent and the Crosstrek is definitely a nice place to be in.
Still, the key thing about this cabin is practicality and functionality. This cabin features plenty of room, even though we are talking about a subcompact crossover. Both rows can accommodate adults with ease, while the front seats are also decently supportive. The driving position is good, as well as the visibility.

The cargo area is also pretty impressive for the segment. You may count on more than 20 cubic feet behind the rear seats, while the total capacity goes over 55 cubic feet. Both ratings are above-average for the segment.
Features
Once again, no one expects to see more important changes. The list of standard features should remain pretty much the same as in the current model, which comes standard with goodies like a 6.5-inch touch screen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a four-speaker stereo, automatic climate control Bluetooth, and a USB port. Additionally, you can get things like push-button start, keyless entry, a moonroof, an 8-inch touch screen, navigation, a Wi-Fi hot spot, three additional USB ports, HD Radio, satellite radio, and a six- or eight-speaker stereo.
When it comes to safety features, a rearview camera is the only thing on the list of standard features. On the other side, you can opt for a lot of advanced systems, such as reverse automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, forward collision warning, forward automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, and adaptive cruise control.
Subaru Crosstrek 2024 Release Date and Price
Since there are no bigger changes to come, we presume that the Subaru Crosstrek 2024 will hit the market sometime in the last quarter of the year. The price should also remain the same, which would mean around 23.000 dollars for the base model. The competition is numerous and some of the names that come to mind are Mazda CX-30, Honda HR-V, Toyota C-HR etc.
