Acura MDX 2024: Redesign and What We Know. In today’s market, the current generation of this luxury crossover seems a little bit outdated. Simply, it has been around since 2014 and it can’t compete with rivals in many aspects. One of them is also interior space. All in all, the Acura MDX 2024 is about to come completely redesigned in the next year. The company prepares a lot of novelties if we can rely on the latest reports. We are about to see a completely new design, which will provide better overall quality and primarily improvements in terms of comfort and performance.
Of course, many novelties are about to come, including a completely new styling, which has been leaked with the RDX’s infotainment system. Of course, new powertrain options are expected as well, just like a full load of new tech features. We expect that the Acura MDX 2024 release date will be scheduled for the second half of next year.
Acura MDX 2024 Engines
In this aspect, we don’t expect bigger changes, considering that the current powertrain is both powerful and efficient. Standard models come with a well-known 3.5-liter V6, which is good for about 290 horsepower. We may see a slight power increase for this occasion, but we also count that the fuel economy will at least remain at the same level. The current model is good for about 20 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway, which are pretty good numbers for the class.
Of course, the Acura MDX 2024 Sport Hybrid should come. Still, we may see some changes on a system that delivers 321 horsepower and features an average fuel economy that goes around 27 mpg in a combined drive.
Acura MDX 2024 Redesign
There is no doubt that the Acura MDX 2024 will bring a lot of novelties and one of the first things that come to mind is the platform. We count on a new one, which will be used for the new Pilot. The two models will once again share most of the mechanics and base design solutions. This includes size as well. By today’s standards, the current generation seems quite small for a mid-size crossover. With 111 inches in wheelbase, it is definitely one of the smallest models in the class.
So, we count on a notable increase in the new Acura MDX 2024. This would bring numerous benefits, particularly in terms of legroom, which definitely isn’t the strongest point of the current model. Of course, numerous improvements in terms of efficiency and performance are expected as well.
Styling
Naturally, the new model will come with the completely new styling. We still don’t have Acura MDX 2024 spy shots, we can already see how the new model will look like. Accidentally or not, the look of this crossover has been leaked thanks to the graphics we can see on the RDX’s touchscreen. The new compact crossover show one sedan and one large crossover, and we have no doubt those are the next generation of TLX and MDX models.
From what we can see, it seems certain that the new generation will feature a lot of angular lines and sharp lines. We count on the same approach we’ve seen in the compact RDX. Of course, as we are talking about the brand’s flagship version, a couple of exclusive styling solutions are expected. Some reports suggest we might see the Acura MDX 2024 Type S version as well, which would come with various upgrades over standard models, both in terms of aesthetics and mechanics.
Interior
We expect a lot from this aspect of the Acura MDX 2024. As we already mentioned, the current model isn’t particularly big. With 111 inches in wheelbase, you can’t count on some spectacular numbers when it comes to legroom. The current model features around 41.4 inches of legroom in the first row, which seems typical for the class.
The second row is relatively decent, as it is good for about 38.5 inches. On the other side, the third row is very tight, as 28.1 inches definite aren’t enough to accommodate adult passengers. We presume that the expect wheelbase increase will definitely bring improvements in this aspect.

More space, we expect that the Acura MDX 2024 will look more luxurious. The current model looks nice, but there are also some areas that feature hard plastics, which isn’t something you would expect from a premium brand.
Acura MDX 2024 Release Date and Price
We are still waiting for the official confirmation, but it seems pretty certain that the Acura MDX 2024 release date will be scheduled for the second half of next year. When it comes to the price, we don’t expect significant changes, though the new model could cost a little bit more. The current version starts at around 44.500, while the Sport Hybrid starts at 53.000 dollars.
