Volvo XC40 2024 Engines
This aspect of the Volvo XC40 2024 shouldn’t change. We expect to see familiar options in the offer, including the recently-added all-electric version. The offer should start with a less powerful version of the familiar 2.0-liter turbo-four, which is good for about 187 horsepower. A more powerful variant puts out nearly 250 horsepower and provides notably better performances.
The all-electric version comes with a couple of electric motors, with a total output of 402 horsepower. It needs just four seconds to hit sixty and the overall performance is pretty impressive. It also provides 208 miles on a single charge, which is also a quite decent number for the class.

As we already mentioned, it’s quite possible to see a mid-cycle refresh in the next year. This update would mean mostly changes at the front end, though we have to say that the current model already looks pretty amazing. It follows the brand’s latest design language, so it’s hard to believe that the Volvo XC40 2024 could gain some more significant novelties. We could see revisions in the areas like grille or bumper, but headlights will probably keep the same shape. The rear end would probably remain pretty much the same, while we also count on typical mid-cycle refresh updates in terms of new color options and wheels.
Volvo XC40 2024 Coupe
This is probably the biggest expectation from the Volvo XC40 2024. At this point, the officials are still quiet about the possible introduction of this body style. Rumors are pretty loud, while we can also find some pretty interesting rendering photos on the network. Of course, they clearly show a different rear-end design. It comes with that sloping roof layout that provides a coupe-like stance. On the other side, the front end looks largely the same, but we presume it would adopt those updates that the standard model is, allegedly, about to receive.
Interior
On the other side, the interior probably won’t feature bigger changes. That definitely isn’t a bad thing, considering that the current model already features one of the nicest cabins in the segment. The dashboard looks really upscale, thanks to attractive aesthetics and first-rate materials. The only complaint in this area goes to the infotainment system. Honestly, it isn’t that bad but some basic functions require more steps than usual.

In terms of the passenger space, the standard model definitely won’t change. It will continue with two generous rows of seats, which accommodate adult passengers with ease. On the other side, the possible coupe version would probably be a little bit tight in terms of the rear-seat headroom, but that’s an issue that characterizes all crossovers with such a body style. Naturally, the sloping roof would also have a negative impact on cargo volume, which would be notable smaller compared to one in the standard model, which offers around 20.7 cubic feet of room, and that expands to 47.2 cubic feet. That’s already subpar for the segment.
Features
Novelties in this aspect are always possible, but keep in mind that the current model is already equipped pretty well. It comes standard with goodies like a 9-inch touch screen, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, multiple USB ports, satellite radio, HD Radio, and an eight-speaker premium stereo. The only possible additions to the list of standard equipment would be navigation and wireless charging, when it comes to tech goodies.
The same story is with safety features, as the current model already comes standard with things forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, oncoming collision mitigation, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, adaptive LED headlights, automatic high-beam headlights, a rearview camera, rear parking sensors, and rain-sensing windshield wipers. That’s a pretty generous list for the class.
Volvo XC40 2024 Release Date
Due to the possible facelift, the Volvo XC40 2024 could arrive a little bit earlier than usual. Still, keep in mind that the officials are still quiet about this update. Models like BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLA are some of the key competitors.
