VW ID.4 2024: Specs and Price. The next year will be all about electric vehicles and that refers to Volkswagen as well, which is about to introduce a completely new lineup of electric vehicles in the upcoming years. The VW ID.4 2024 is the latest addition, which comes as a small crossover, designed as an electric alternative to VW Tiguan. Instead of making all-electric versions of well-known models, which was the case with Golf-e in the past, the German manufacturer now offers separate models, based on a platform that is improved purpose, which provides better efficiency and performance.
The new models will can be found in two output configurations, while the styling and overall design seem pretty typical for this brand. You may also count on VW-typical ride quality, as well as a quality interior, full of the latest tech features.
VW ID.4 2024 Performances and Range
From what we know so far, the VW ID.4 2024 will come in two configurations. Base models will come with a rear-mounted electric motor, which features a max output of 201 horsepower. It comes packed with an 82-kWh battery pack, which should be able to provide enough energy for 250 miles on a single charge.
Those who are trying to find something peppier can choose the AWD model, which adds another electric motor on the front axle, so the total output goes up to 302 horses. As you may presume, acceleration will be pretty quick with this model, but you may also count on a pretty decent 2.700 pounds of max towing capacity.
VW ID.4 2024 Redesign
When it comes to base design characteristics, the primary thing we should mention is that the VW ID.4 2024 rides on the company’s new MEB platform, designed especially for electric vehicles. Visually, the new model does come with lots of futuristic details that clearly show its all-electric nature. However, the overall shape offers than unmistakable VW flavor, which means super-conservative, even dull overall shape.

As we already mentioned, the VW ID.4 2024 comes as an all-electric alternative for the popular Tiguan. This means it also features a pretty similar size. The wheelbase is good for about 108.9 inches, which is somewhere between standard and stretched versions of Tiguan. The overall length goes around 180.5 inches, so we can say we are talking about a typical compact crossover. However, the ground clearance is notably lower and this model rather looks something between a hatchback and crossover, definitely not like a genuine SUV. Still, that’s the case with pretty much every electric crossover.
Interior Design
When it comes to interior design, a good thing is that VW won’t offer some cheap plastics on the inside in order to cut production costs, which is typical for electric vehicles. Instead, you may count on a well-designed and well-insulated cabin, which also looks quite attractive. Once again, we are talking about typical VW design solutions, so the dashboard actually resembles the new Golf Mk8 a lot. Of course, you may count on a familiar digital instrument cluster, which has been tweaked for this occasion but still offers impressive graphics and transparency. Of course, there is also the company’s latest infotainment system, while it’s also easy to notice that most of the controls have been digitalized. Even the gear shifter is digital, though there is a separate knob for the Park mode.
In terms of interior space, the exact numbers are yet to come. Still, we have no doubt that both rows will be spacious and comfortable. This crossover will have the ability to accommodate five adult passengers with ease. The cargo area should be pretty generous with space too.
