However, there are various drawbacks as well, which is no wonder given the model’s age. Low-grade interior and thirsty engines are some of the first things that come to mind. Ford Flex 2024 Engines
When it comes to the powertrain, this crossover comes in two variants, with two potent V6 engines. Base models come with a naturally-aspirated 3.5-liter unit, which puts out around 287 horsepower. That’s a quite respectable number, which ensures pretty strong driving dynamics. If you are looking with something peppier, you can pick a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6. It is good for 365 horsepower and offers notably better performances. Both engines come with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
In terms of fuel economy, neither of these two is spectacular. The base engine returns around 16 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway. This is below-average for the class. The optional twin-turbo V6 is even thirstier.
Ford Flex 2024 Changes
While some rumors even suggest Ford Flex 2024 redesign, that definitely won’t happen. This will be the last model year and discontinuation comes after that. Simply, the popularity of this model has never been on a high level and today, Ford also offers a similarly-sized Explorer, which looks more conventional and sells way better.
That’s why we don’t expect any particular change for the next year. If you look at the last-year model, we saw just a couple of changes in terms of new color options and a few more standard features. We saw two new color options– Agate Black and Stone Gray. There is a new power outlet. We could also see some new Ford Flex 2024 colors and similar things for the next year.
Ford Flex 2024 Design
A couple of changes may come for the next year but the overall design rides on a good-old D4 platform and measures nearly 118 inches in wheelbase, which is the number that ensures lots of useful interior space. In terms of styling, this model features a recognizable boxy shape. During this very long production cycle, we saw one facelift but even that was seven years ago, so we have no doubt that the upcoming Ford Flex 2024 will remain untouched as well.

When it comes to interior design, this crossover definitely pays debt to its age. The overall quality is at a lower level if we compare it with much younger competitors. On the other side, the amount of space is impressive and all three rows offer a pretty decent amount of legroom. The Ford Flex 2024 should come standard with tech goodies like SYNC smartphone integration system, Bluetooth and USB port, which seems quite basic. Fortunately, there is a lot of available things in higher trim levels, starting from the power-opening panoramic glass roof, a three-prong power outlet, dual-zone automatic climate control, two additional USB ports, a seven-speaker premium audio system, a 12-speaker Sony audio system, HD Radio, satellite radio, proximity key entry, push-button start, remote start, the SYNC 3 touch-screen infotainment system, Siri Eyes Free iPhone integration, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, voice-controlled navigation and more.
When it comes to safety systems, a rearview camera and parking sensors. Additionally, you can get goodies like adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic parking assist, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross traffic alert.
